When does upgrading to Pro actually make sense?
Honest answer: not on day one. Use Free first — 3 habits, a private group of 5, all the rescue tools, no card required. Spend a few weeks; if the loop actually works for your habits, three signals will tell you Pro is worth the upgrade: you've outgrown the 3-slot limit, you've built 6+ weeks of history (so Pattern Analytics can surface why you slip — trigger danger zones, vulnerability windows, which rescue tools work for you), or you want a group bigger than 5 or to share photos in it. If none of those apply yet, stay on Free — the core loop is identical between tiers.
How is LoopShift different from a streak tracker?
Streak apps reward consistency. LoopShift measures how automatic a habit has become with an 0–100 automaticity score — and projects a personalized timeline based on your real practice, not just a count of days. Slips don't reset your identity, so the app stays useful when you wobble.
Can LoopShift help with porn, doomscrolling, or smoking?
Those are exactly what the Break path is built for. Sensitive data stays on your device (no cloud AI, no third-party analytics), urges are surfaced privately with the Hold the Wave timer and 4-4-4-4 box breathing, and the tone never shames you for slipping — a slip is data, not defeat.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
It's gone. All personal habit data lives in a local SQLite database on your device — there is no server copy to retain. Optional cloud features (accountability groups, encrypted backups) are opt-in and clearly labelled; even in groups, only your automaticity score is shared, never your logs, triggers, or activity data.
Do I need an account to use it?
Not for the core app. LoopShift works fully offline with no sign-up. An account is only required if you want to join an accountability group or upgrade to Pro.
When does the Android version launch?
The Android build is in closed testing now. The public release will be announced here at loopshift.app and via the iOS app's in-app announcements.
